Product Specific Information
This BCL-DWN monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Bcl-6, also known as B-cell lymphoma 6. Bcl-6 is a 79-kDa transcriptional repressor expressed predominantly in germinal center B cells, as well as in differentiating and activated B cells. It is essential for germinal center B cell proliferation and survival, and plays a key role in pre-B cell survival during development.
Bcl-6 is constitutively expressed in diffuse large B cell lymphomas (DLBCLs), Burkitt’s lymphoma, and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. It is also found in CD4+ T follicular helper cells and memory T cells, and is known to be antagonized by Blimp-1.

Intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Validated by flow cytometric analysis of splenocytes from sheep red blood cell-immunized mice. Recommended usage ≤ 0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume; 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Titrate for optimal performance.

Target Information
Bcl-6 proto-oncogene product is a Kruppel-type zinc-finger protein mainly expressed in normal germinal center B cells and related lymphomas. It is involved in chromosome rearrangements at 3q27 in non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas, with rearrangements detected in 33–45% of diffuse large B cell lymphomas. Bcl-6 has been observed immunohistochemically in follicular lymphomas, DLBCL, Burkitt’s lymphomas, and nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin’s disease.
