Target Information
Kallikreins, including Kallikrein 6, are a subgroup of serine proteases with diverse physiological functions. Many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and may serve as biomarkers for cancer and other diseases. KLK6 is regulated by steroid hormones and can generate amyloidogenic fragments from amyloid precursor protein, suggesting involvement in Alzheimer’s disease.
