Target Information
Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases with diverse physiological functions. Many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and may serve as cancer and disease biomarkers. The Kallikrein 10 gene is part of a cluster on chromosome 19, and its protein may play a role in tumor suppression in breast and prostate cancers. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein.
