ROCK2는 골격근에서 주요하게 발현되는 ROCK 아이소폼으로, Rho GTPases의 하위 조절자로 작용합니다. 이 단백질은 세포질 분열, 평활근 수축, actin stress fiber 및 focal adhesion 형성, c-fos serum response element의 활성화를 조절합니다. ROCK2는 ROCK1의 동종효소이며, small GTPase Rho의 표적 단백질입니다.
