Target Information
BRD7 acts both as a coactivator and as a corepressor. It activates the Wnt signaling pathway in a DVL1-dependent manner by negatively regulating GSK3B phosphotransferase activity. Additionally, it is required for TP53-mediated cell-cycle arrest in response to oncogene activation. BRD7 promotes acetylation of TP53 at Lys-382, facilitating efficient recruitment of TP53 to target promoters and inhibiting cell cycle progression from G1 to S phase.
