SPHK1은 SPHK2와 함께 sphingosine을 인산화하여 sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P)를 생성하는 효소입니다.
S1P는 G 단백질 결합 수용체를 통해 신호를 전달하며, 세포 분화, 칼슘 이동, 세포사멸 등 다양한 세포 기능을 조절합니다.
S1P 수용체는 EDG 계열의 G 단백질 결합 수용체로 알려져 있으며, SPHK 억제제는 암 치료의 잠재적 치료제로 연구되고 있습니다.
