This antibody detects endogenous levels of total HACE1.
Target Information
HACE1 is an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase involved in Golgi membrane fusion and regulation of small GTPases. It regulates Golgi membrane dynamics during the cell cycle by being recruited to Golgi membranes via Rab proteins and mediating ubiquitination during mitotic Golgi disassembly. This ubiquitination serves as a signal for Golgi reassembly after cell division. HACE1 specifically interacts with GTP-bound RAC1, mediating its ubiquitination and degradation, thus contributing to host defense against pathogens. It may also function as a transcription regulator through interaction with RARB.
