Product Specific Information
Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double-distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at –20°C.
The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and freeze at –20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).
Target Information
Slc6a9 (GlyT1) is a glycine transporter belonging to the family of high-affinity Na⁺- and Cl⁻-dependent neurotransmitter transporter proteins.
There are two subtypes of glycine transporters: GlyT1 (Slc6a9) and GlyT2.
Slc6a9 is predominantly located on glial cells within caudal brain regions.
Glycine acts as an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system.
The Slc6a9 gene encodes one of two transporters that terminate glycine signaling by clearing it from the synaptic cleft.
Diseases associated with SLC6A9 include Glycine Encephalopathy With Normal Serum Glycine and Infantile Glycine Encephalopathy.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
