Target Information
PLCL1 is involved in an inositol phospholipid-based intracellular signaling cascade. It shows no PLC activity to phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate and phosphatidylinositol. It is a component in the phospho-dependent endocytosis process of GABA A receptor and regulates receptor turnover, contributing to GABA-mediated synaptic inhibition. Aberrant expression may contribute to lung carcinoma progression. Acts as an inhibitor of PPP1C.
