The Human Myoglobin Simplex ProcartaPlex™ Kit measures myoglobin protein and is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits to create custom multiplex panels utilizing Luminex™ xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation. When combining multiple Simplex kits, only one buffer kit (sold separately) is required per assay plate regardless of plex size.

ProcartaPlex Assay 특징

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on the sandwich ELISA principle, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein to quantitate multiple targets simultaneously with a Luminex instrument.

ProcartaPlex assays utilize Luminex xMAP (multianalyte profiling) technology for simultaneous detection and quantitation of up to 80 protein targets in a single small-volume sample from plasma, serum, cell culture supernatants, and other bodily fluids.

기술 설명

Luminex beads in the ProcartaPlex assay are internally dyed with precise proportions of red and infrared fluorophores to create spectrally unique signatures identified by Luminex detection systems (e.g., Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).
Similar to sandwich ELISA, matched antibody pairs identify the target protein. Each spectrally unique bead is labeled with antibodies specific for a single target protein, and bound proteins are detected with biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).

The key difference from ELISA is that the capture antibody is conjugated to a bead and not adsorbed to a microplate well, allowing reagents to remain free-floating in solution. Detection is achieved using two lasers—one distinguishing bead signatures and the other quantifying RPE fluorescence proportional to protein concentration.

ProcartaPlex multiplex assays enable profiling of more target proteins using significantly less sample volume and similar assay time compared to traditional ELISA.
