Target Information
UBA6 (UBE1L2, MOP-4)는 ubiquitin-activating E1 효소 계열의 새로운 E1 효소로, ubiquitin을 기질 단백질에 공유 결합시키는 과정에 관여합니다.
UBA6는 ATP를 이용해 ubiquitin의 C-말단 glycine을 adenylation한 후, E1 효소의 cysteine 잔기와 thioester 결합을 형성합니다.
이 효소의 isoform은 정자 형성과 남성 생식능력에 영향을 미치며, 인간 단핵구에서 높은 발현을 보입니다.
