Target Information
Cdc73 is a tumor suppressor likely involved in transcriptional and post-transcriptional control pathways. It is part of the PAF1 complex, composed of Paf1, Cdc73, Leo1, Rtf1, and Ctr9. The PAF1 complex associates with RNA polymerase II and functions in transcription elongation, coordinating histone modifications linked to active transcription. Additionally, it plays a role in RNA quality control and may influence cell cycle progression through regulation of cyclin D1/PRAD1 expression.
