Target Information
CCP110 is necessary for centrosome duplication during procentriole formation. It acts as a key negative regulator of ciliogenesis in collaboration with CEP97 by capping the mother centriole, preventing cilia formation. It also plays a role in promoting ciliogenesis and assembly of mother centriole subdistal appendages (SDA), affecting recycling endosome fusion to basal bodies during cilia formation. Additionally, CCP110 is required for correct spindle formation and contributes to cytokinesis and genome stability via cooperation with CALM1 and CETN2. [UniProt]
