Invitrogen™ Alpha-Synuclein (total) Human ProcartaPlex™ Simplex Kit

The Human Alpha-Synuclein (total) ProcartaPlex Simplex Kit measures alpha-synuclein (total) protein and is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits, allowing creation of custom multiplex panels utilizing Luminex xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation. Only one buffer kit (sold separately) is required per assay plate, regardless of plex size.

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on sandwich ELISA principles, using two specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of a protein to quantify up to:

• 80 protein targets with FLEXMAP 3D or Luminex 200
• 50 protein targets with MAGPIX

Assays require as little as:

• 25 μL of plasma or serum
• 50 μL of cell culture supernatant
  Results are obtained within four hours.

기술 개요

The Luminex MagPlex superparamagnetic microsphere beads are dyed with precise proportions of red and infrared fluorophores, creating 100 spectrally unique signatures identifiable by Luminex xMAP systems (Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).
Each bead is conjugated with antibodies specific to a single protein target, enabling multiplex detection using biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).

Unlike traditional ELISA, the capture antibody in ProcartaPlex assays is conjugated to magnetic beads rather than adsorbed to microplate wells, allowing reagents to remain free-floating. Dual-laser detection in Luminex instruments quantifies both bead identity and RPE fluorescence intensity, enabling multiplex profiling of up to 80 proteins simultaneously using minimal sample volume.

ProcartaPlex Simplex kits can be combined to create unique panels. Over 90% of targets are combinable across six species: human, mouse, rat, nonhuman primate, porcine, and canine.
