MLK4 (Mixed Lineage Kinase 4)는 MAP kinase kinase (MAP3K1) 슈퍼패밀리에 속하며, ser/thr 및 tyr kinase 활성을 모두 갖는 효소입니다.
이 키나제는 N-terminal SH3 도메인, kinase 도메인, leucine zipper 영역, CDC42/RAC-interactive binding (CRIB) 모티프를 포함하며, C-terminal 영역은 다양합니다.
MLK4는 신장과 췌장에서 높은 발현을 보이며, TLR4의 음성 조절자로 작용하며 JNK1/MAPK8, p38/MAPK14, ERK2/MAPK1 경로를 활성화하지 않습니다.
