Product Specific Information

Anti-Carboxypeptidase Y antibody is an IgG fraction purified from monospecific antiserum by delipidation, salt fractionation, and ion-exchange chromatography, followed by extensive dialysis against the specified buffer.
Immunoelectrophoresis shows a single precipitin arc against anti-Rabbit Serum and purified Carboxypeptidase Y (Baker’s Yeast).
Cross-reactivity with Carboxypeptidase Y from other tissues or species may occur but has not been specifically determined.
Target Information
Carboxypeptidase Y is involved in the degradation of small peptides. It digests peptides containing aliphatic or hydrophobic residues in the P1’ position, as well as methionine, leucine, or phenylalanine in the P1 position of an ester substrate.
