Target Information
EXOSC4는 RNA exosome 복합체의 비촉매적 구성 요소로, 3’→5’ exoribonuclease 활성을 가진 RNA 처리 및 분해 과정에 관여합니다.
핵 내에서는 rRNA, snRNA, snoRNA 등 안정적인 RNA의 성숙 과정과 비암호화 RNA 및 결함 있는 mRNA 제거에 관여합니다.
세포질에서는 일반적인 mRNA turnover 및 AU-rich element(ARE)를 포함하는 불안정한 mRNA의 분해에 관여합니다.
또한 Ig class switch recombination(CSR) 및 somatic hypermutation(SHM) 과정에도 관련이 있을 수 있습니다.
EXOSC4는 ARE를 포함하는 RNA에 결합합니다.
