Target Information
PTBP2 encodes a protein that binds to intronic clusters of RNA regulatory elements known as downstream control sequences (DCS). It plays a role in controlling the assembly of other splicing-regulatory proteins. This protein is highly similar to the polypyrimidine tract binding protein but is expressed primarily in the brain.
