EPHA4는 ephrin receptor 아형에 속하는 단백질 티로신 키나아제 계열의 수용체로, 주로 신경계 발달 과정에서 중요한 역할을 하는 ephrin-A 리간드와 결합합니다. EPH 수용체는 단일 키나아제 도메인과 Cys-rich 도메인, 두 개의 fibronectin type III 반복을 포함하는 세포외 영역을 가지며, ephrin-A 및 ephrin-B 리간드 결합 특성에 따라 두 그룹으로 나뉩니다.
