FITC conjugates provide high absorptivity, excellent fluorescence quantum yield, and good water solubility, making them suitable for flow cytometry and fluorescence-based assays.

Target Information

HLA-DR is a major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecule composed of a 36 kDa alpha chain (DRA) and a 27 kDa beta chain (DRB).

  • The alpha chain gene contains 5 exons: exon 1 encodes the leader peptide, exons 2 and 3 encode extracellular domains, and exon 4 encodes the transmembrane domain and cytoplasmic tail.
  • DRA lacks polymorphisms in the peptide-binding region and serves as the sole alpha chain for DRB1, DRB3, DRB4, and DRB5.
  • The beta chain contains polymorphisms defining peptide-binding specificity, and numerous DRB1 alleles are used in transplantation typing.
  • HLA-DR is expressed on antigen-presenting cells such as B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, thymic epithelial cells, and activated T lymphocytes.
  • DR, DQ, and DP loci encode major human class II MHC molecules, which bind intracellularly processed peptides and present them to T-helper cells, playing a crucial role in immune response initiation.

HLA and MHC antibodies are essential tools in Immunopeptidomics, supporting neoantigen identification and characterization via HPLC-MS/MS.
