Target Information
Musashi homolog 2 (MSI2H)는 328개의 아미노산으로 구성된 세포질 단백질로, 두 개의 RRM(RNA recognition motif) 도메인을 포함합니다. 낮은 수준으로 광범위하게 발현되며, 표적 mRNA의 발현을 조절함으로써 중추신경계의 줄기세포 증식 및 유지에 관여합니다. MSI2는 인산화에 의해 조절되며, 뇌 손상 시 발현이 증가하여 조직 재생에 기여할 수 있습니다. 또한 MSI2 유전자의 염색체 이상은 만성 골수성 백혈병의 진행과 관련이 있습니다. 대체 스플라이싱에 의해 여러 동형 단백질이 존재합니다.
