Target Information
DUSP18 (E.C 3.1.3.16)는 highly conserved protein-tyrosine phosphatase super family에 속하는 새로운 DSP입니다.
이 계열 단백질들은 protein kinase와 협력하여 세포 주기 조절 및 mitogenic signal transduction에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
DUSP18은 N-terminal DSP domain을 가지지만 CH2 domain은 결여된 저분자량 단백질입니다.
연구 결과, DUSP18은 SAPK/JNK와 상호작용하며 이를 탈인산화시키는 독특한 DSP로 밝혀졌습니다.
또한 SAPK/JNK를 in vivo에서 억제하고, SAPK/JNK 경로 조절에 중요한 역할을 할 수 있는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
