Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the highly conserved cyclin family, characterized by periodic changes in protein abundance through the cell cycle. Cyclins function as regulators of CDK kinases. Different cyclins show distinct expression and degradation patterns, contributing to temporal coordination of mitotic events. This cyclin shows the highest similarity with cyclin G, and its transcript is expressed constantly during cell cycle progression. The specific function of this cyclin has not yet been determined.
