Target Information
FOXO1 (FKHR, Forkhead Box O1)는 전사 인자(forkhead homeotic gene family) 서브패밀리에 속합니다. FOXO1은 핵 수용체 활성의 공동활성자 또는 공동억제자로 작용할 수 있으며, PAX3와의 결합은 alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma와 관련이 있습니다.
FOXO1은 인슐린 신호 전달의 주요 표적이며, 산화 스트레스에 대한 대사 항상성 조절에 관여합니다. 또한 FOXO1은 적색-산화 균형, 조골세포 수, 골량 조절, 그리고 골격의 내분비 기능을 통해 포도당 대사를 조절합니다.
간세포에서는 FOXO1이 PPARGC1A와 함께 작용하여 IGFBP1, G6PC, PCK1 등의 유전자 발현을 활성화함으로써 포도당신생합성을 촉진합니다. FOXO1은 CDK1, PKB/AKT1, SKT4/MST1 하류에서 세포 사멸을 조절하는 중요한 인자입니다.
