DR5 (Apo2, TRAIL-R2, TRICK2, KILLER)는 TRAIL에 의해 유도되는 세포자멸사(apoptosis)를 매개하는 death domain을 포함한 수용체입니다. TNF-receptor superfamily에 속하며, 세포 내 death domain을 포함합니다. DR5는 TNFSF10/TRAIL/APO-2L에 의해 활성화되어 apoptosis 신호를 전달합니다.
FADD-deficient 마우스 연구에 따르면, DR5 매개 apoptosis에는 death domain adaptor 단백질인 FADD가 필요합니다.
DR5는 다양한 세포 유형에서 발현되며, 특히 림프구 및 비장에서 높은 수준으로 발현됩니다. DR5 기능 이상은 편평상피세포암(squamous cell carcinoma) 및 diffuse infiltrative lymphocytosis syndrome과 관련이 있습니다.
