Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They are comprised of a selection of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, providing both the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies and the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, with the consistency of recombinant production.
These antibodies recognize multiple epitope sites on the target and provide higher detection sensitivity for low abundance targets. Each lot contains a known mixture of light and heavy chains, ensuring reproducibility and eliminating biological variability associated with polyclonal antibody production.

Target Information

The APC gene encodes a tumor suppressor protein that acts as an antagonist of the Wnt signaling pathway. It is involved in processes such as cell migration, adhesion, transcriptional activation, and apoptosis.
Defects in this gene cause familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), an autosomal dominant pre-malignant disease that typically progresses to malignancy. Disease-associated mutations are often clustered in the mutation cluster region (MCR), leading to truncated protein products.
