Target Information
Damaged DNA binding protein (DDB)은 두 개의 서브유닛 p127(DDB1)과 p48(DDB2)로 구성된 헤테로다이머입니다. DDB 헤테로다이머는 자외선에 의해 손상된 DNA를 수리하는 데 관여합니다. DDB는 UV-damaged DNA binding protein (UV-DDB), xeroderma pigmentosum group E binding factor (XPE-BF), hepatitis B virus X-associated protein 1 (XAP-1)로도 알려져 있으며, 손상된 cyclobutane pyrimidine dimers (CPDs)에 결합합니다. DDB2 유전자 돌연변이는 xeroderma pigmentosum group E의 원인으로 알려져 있으며, 이는 뉴클레오타이드 절제 복구 결함으로 인해 발생하는 상염색체 열성 질환입니다. XPE는 햇빛에 대한 피부 과민성과 높은 피부암 발생률, 신경학적 이상을 특징으로 합니다. 또한 HBV X 단백질은 DDB1과 상호작용하여 HBx 전사활성을 매개할 수 있습니다.
