Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of PTP1B only when phosphorylated at Tyr66.
Target Information
PTP1B (PTPN1) is a tyrosine-protein phosphatase that regulates endoplasmic reticulum unfolded protein response. It mediates dephosphorylation of EIF2AK3/PERK, inactivating its kinase activity. PTP1B also participates in CKII- and p60c-src-induced signal transduction cascades, regulates EFNA5-EPHA3 signaling affecting cell organization and repulsion, and modulates hepatocyte growth factor receptor (MET) signaling through dephosphorylation.
