Target Information
The ring finger protein RC3H1 (Roquin) is a conserved member of the RING-type ubiquitin ligase family. Mutation M199R in RC3H1 leads to excessive production of follicular helper T cells and germinal centers in the sanroque mouse strain, which shows elevated IL-21 and autoantibody levels. Complete loss of RC3H1 causes early death and immune deregulation without autoimmunity, indicating that the mutant RC3H1 is more disruptive than its absence.
