Target Information
Alpha-lactalbumin은 우유의 주요 단백질로, lactose synthase (LS) 복합체의 조절 소단위로 작용합니다. Beta 1,4-galactosyltransferase (beta4Gal-T1)는 LS의 촉매 성분으로, 이 두 단백질은 함께 galactose를 glucose에 전달하여 lactose를 생성합니다.
Alpha-lactalbumin 단량체는 칼슘 및 아연 이온에 강하게 결합하며, 항균 또는 항종양 활성을 가질 수 있습니다. HAMLET이라 불리는 접힘 변형체는 종양 및 미성숙 세포에서 세포사멸(apoptosis)을 유도할 가능성이 있습니다.
