Target Information
N-cadherin은 칼슘 의존적 세포간 부착을 매개하는 140 kDa 막단백질로, 발달 과정에서 형태형성 운동을 조절하고 동일한 cadherin 간의 상호작용을 통해 세포 표면 부착을 조절합니다.
N-cadherin의 기능은 actin-cytoskeleton과의 결합에 의존하며, C-말단 영역이 cytoplasmic catenin 단백질과 상호작용함으로써 매개됩니다. 이 결합의 안정성은 β-catenin의 인산화 및 탈인산화에 의해 조절됩니다.
또한 N-cadherin은 다섯 개의 extracellular cadherin 반복구조, transmembrane 영역, 그리고 보존된 cytoplasmic 꼬리를 가진 glycoprotein으로, gastrulation 동안 기능하며 좌우 비대칭성 확립에 필요합니다.
