Target Information
Myosin VIIa는 액틴 기반 모터 단백질인 미오신 초패밀리의 구성원입니다. MYO7A 유전자의 결함은 생쥐 shaker-1 (sh1)에서 청각 장애를 유발하며, 인간에서는 Usher syndrome IB의 원인이 됩니다. Usher syndrome은 선천성 난청, 전정 기능 장애, 망막색소변성증을 동반하는 복합 질환으로, 청각 및 시각 장애가 동시에 나타나는 가장 흔한 형태입니다.
Myosin VIIa 단백질은 ATP 결합 N-말단 모터 도메인, 다섯 개의 light-chain 결합 (IQ) 모티프를 포함하는 중앙 영역, 그리고 세 개의 MyTH4 및 talin-like 상동 영역을 가진 C-말단 도메인으로 구성되어 있습니다.
