Product Specific Information
- Antibody tested in direct ELISA.
- For Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Albumin is a soluble, monomeric protein comprising about half of the blood serum protein content. It functions primarily as a carrier protein for steroids, fatty acids, and thyroid hormones, and helps stabilize extracellular fluid volume. Albumin is a globular, unglycosylated serum protein with a molecular weight of approximately 65,000 Da. It is synthesized in the liver as preproalbumin, which undergoes sequential processing in the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus to yield the mature secreted form.
