SIAH-2 (seven in absentia homolog 2)는 단백질 기질의 유비퀴틴화 및 프로테아좀 매개 분해를 촉매하는 E3 리가아제입니다.
SIAH-2는 324개의 아미노산으로 구성된 단백질을 암호화하며, 인간 SIAH-1과 77%의 동일성을, 초파리 sina 유전자와 68%의 동일성을 가집니다.
SIAH-2는 스트레스 조건(예: 저산소증)에서 TRAF2 및 HIF-1α prolyl hydroxylase 3 (PHD3)의 분해를 유도합니다. 또한 TNF-α 의존성 JNK 활성 및 NFκB 전사 활성화를 감소시킬 수 있습니다.
SIAH-2 결핍 마우스는 저산소 상태에서 호흡 반응이 저하되고 헤모글로빈 수준이 감소하는 특징을 보입니다.
