SHOC2 단백질은 fibroblast growth factor receptor signaling 및 Ras protein signal transduction에 관여하며, leucine-rich repeats (LRR) 구조를 가진 세포질 단백질입니다.
SHOC2는 RAS-MAPK 신호전달 경로의 양성 조절자로 작용하며, PP1c와 복합체를 형성해 MAPK 경로 활성화에 필수적입니다. Ras 변이 종양세포에서 SHOC2 발현 억제는 MAPK 활성을 억제하지만 PI3K에는 영향을 주지 않습니다.
SHOC2-PP1c 복합체는 암에서 MAPK 경로 억제를 위한 잠재적 치료 표적이며, 비정상적 N-myristoylation은 Noonan-like syndrome with loose anagen hair와 관련이 있습니다.
