Product Specific Information

This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey and Cat.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:

  • Better specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulations
  • Broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

SOX10 is a member of the SOX (SRY-related HMG-box) family of transcription factors involved in embryonic development and cell fate determination. It may act as a transcriptional activator after forming complexes with other proteins. SOX10 functions as a nucleocytoplasmic shuttle protein and plays a critical role in neural crest and peripheral nervous system development.
Mutations in this gene are associated with Waardenburg-Shah and Waardenburg-Hirschsprung diseases.
