MA1-7601 detects Rotavirus from virus samples.
It has been successfully used in ELISA, Western blot, and Immunofluorescence procedures.
The immunogen is purified bovine rotavirus virus.
Store at 4ºC. For long term storage, store at -80ºC, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles.
Target Information
Rotavirus is a double-stranded RNA virus in the family Reoviridae.
Five species of rotavirus (A–E) cause disease in animals, with species A being the most common in humans.
Within rotavirus A, different strains (serotypes) are classified based on two surface proteins.
Six viral proteins (VPs) form the virion, and six non-structural proteins (NSPs) are expressed in infected cells.
Rotavirus is the leading cause of severe diarrhoea among infants and young children, resulting in significant mortality in developing countries.
