Target Information
USP51 (Ubiquitin Specific Peptidase 51)는 단백질 코딩 유전자이며, Ubiquitin-Proteasome 의존적 단백질 분해 경로에 관여합니다.
이 유전자는 cysteine-type endopeptidase 활성과 thiol-dependent ubiquitinyl hydrolase 활성과 관련이 있습니다.
특히 히스톤 H2A의 Lys-14(H2AK13Ub) 및 Lys-16(H2AK15Ub)를 탈유비퀴틴화하여 DNA 이중 가닥 절단(DSB) 시 손상 반응을 조절합니다.
USP51은 DNA 손상 후 크로마틴에 모집되어 TP53BP1 및 BRCA1의 조립/해체를 조절하며, Lys-27 또는 Lys-63 결합형 di-ubiquitin에도 활성을 보입니다.
