• In direct ELISAs, approximately 24% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Angiotensinogen is observed.
• Less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Serpin A1, Serpin C1, and Serpin F2 is observed.
• Reconstitute in sterile PBS to a final concentration of 0.2 mg/mL.

Target Information

The AGT gene encodes pre-angiotensinogen (angiotensinogen precursor), expressed primarily in the liver.
It is cleaved by renin in response to low blood pressure to produce angiotensin I, which is further processed by angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) to form angiotensin II, a key regulator of blood pressure.
Mutations in this gene are associated with:

• Essential hypertension
• Renal tubular dysgenesis
• Non-familial structural atrial fibrillation
• Inflammatory bowel disease
