Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
PEX5 binds to the C-terminal PTS1-type tripeptide peroxisomal targeting signal (SKL-type) and plays an essential role in peroxisomal protein import.
Peroxins (PEXs) are required for assembly of functional peroxisomes.
Defects in PEX5 are associated with peroxisome biogenesis disorders (PBDs), including neonatal adrenoleukodystrophy (NALD), Zellweger syndrome (ZWS), and infantile Refsum disease (IRD).
Alternative splicing results in different isoforms of the protein.
