Target Information
N-Myc protein is a member of the MYC family of transcription factor proteins containing a basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain. N-Myc is regulated and functionally complementary to C-Myc, playing a role in cellular growth and differentiation. The MYCN gene is a hallmark of neuroblastoma; amplification and overexpression occur in approximately 20% of neuroblastomas and are linked to advanced disease, rapid tumor progression, and poor prognosis.
