Mouse anti-Bovine CD205 antibody, clone IL-A114 recognizes bovine CD205 (also known as DEC205) and was originally described as BoWC6.
Target Information
CD205 (LY25, Lymphocyte Antigen 75) is an integral membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake, trafficking, and presentation, enhancing antigen-specific T cell immunity.
It is highly expressed by CD8+ dendritic cells (DCs) and also found in bone marrow Gr1+ cells, Langerhans cells, bone marrow-derived DCs (BMDCs), and thymic epithelial cells.
CD205 functions as an endocytic receptor directing captured antigens toward specialized antigen processing regions and can reduce B lymphocyte proliferation.
Diseases associated with CD205 dysfunction include pneumonic plague and lipid pneumonia.
