Target Information
This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the WFDC domain family. The WFDC (WAP Signature) motif contains eight cysteines forming four disulfide bonds, functioning as a protease inhibitor. It is expressed in pulmonary epithelial cells and some ovarian cancers. The encoded protein is a small secretory protein possibly involved in sperm maturation.
