CSN7b는 COP9 signalosome complex (CSN)의 구성 요소로, 다양한 세포 및 발달 과정에 관여합니다.
이 복합체는 SCF형 E3 리가아제 복합체의 cullin 서브유닛의 탈NEDD8화(deneddylation)를 매개하여, SCF, CSA, DDB2 등의 Ubl 리가아제 활성을 조절합니다.
또한 CK2 및 PKD 키나아제와의 연관을 통해 p53/TP53, JUN, I-kappa-B-alpha/NFKBIA, ITPK1, IRF8/ICSBP의 인산화에 관여합니다.
CSN 의존적 TP53 및 JUN의 인산화는 각각 단백질의 분해를 촉진하거나 보호합니다.
