CSN7b는 COP9 signalosome complex (CSN)의 구성 요소로, 다양한 세포 및 발달 과정에 관여합니다.
CSN 복합체는 SCF형 E3 리가아제 복합체의 cullin 서브유닛의 탈네딜화를 매개하여 ubiquitin (Ubl) 결합 경로를 조절합니다.
이 과정은 SCF, CSA, DDB2 등의 복합체의 Ubl 리가아제 활성을 감소시킵니다.
또한 CSN 복합체는 CK2 및 PKD 키나아제와의 결합을 통해 p53/TP53, JUN, I-kappa-B-alpha/NFKBIA, ITPK1, IRF8/ICSBP 등의 인산화에도 관여합니다.
CSN 의존적 TP53과 JUN의 인산화는 각각 Ubl 시스템에 의한 분해를 촉진 또는 보호합니다.
