Target Information
This gene is a member of the MAGEB gene family. Members of this family have their entire coding sequences located in the last exon and share 50–68% sequence identity. The promoters and first exons show variability, suggesting that the gene family enables similar functions under different transcriptional controls.
MAGEB genes are clustered on chromosome Xp22-p21, and this gene sequence ends in the first intron of MAGEB1, another family member. Expression is observed in testis.
