Target Information
The nuclear protein p100 is a proliferation-associated protein expressed during cell cycle phases S, G2, and M. It is localized to the spindle pole and mitotic spindle during mitosis and distributed throughout the nucleus during S and G2 phases. The full-length cDNA encodes a 747-amino acid protein with a putative ATP/GTP-binding site motif. Expression is strong in lung carcinoma cell lines but absent in normal lung tissues, and also found in adult placenta, skeletal muscle, thymus, testis, small intestine, and fetal brain, liver, and kidney. P100 expression is correlated with cancer prognosis.
