Product Specific Information
Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW) depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).
Target Information
EPHB1 is a receptor tyrosine kinase belonging to the ephrin receptor family. Members of the Eph family play crucial roles in nervous system development, angiogenesis, and neural synapse formation and maturation.
EphB1 and other EphB family members are type I membrane-spanning proteins composed of immunoglobulin, fibronectin type III, and cysteine-rich subdomains in the extracellular domain, and a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase domain upstream of a carboxy-terminal SAM domain.
EphB family proteins bind ephrins of the B class, which are also transmembrane ligands capable of bidirectional signaling.
EphB1 is predominantly expressed in developing neural structures and vascular epithelium of various tissues. Upon binding to oligomerized ephrin B1, EphB1 regulates cell attachment and assembly.
These proteins are implicated in neuronal and vascular cell targeting.
