Target Information
CHEK1 (CHK1) is a serine/threonine protein kinase involved in maintaining DNA integrity by preventing replication under damage conditions. It plays a key role in the DNA damage-induced checkpoint network and ensures genomic stability under genotoxic stress. Inhibition of CHK1 can lead to mitotic catastrophe in p53-deficient cancer cells, making CHK1 an attractive target for cancer therapy.
