Target Information
Smoothelin은 평활근 세포(SMC) 세포골격의 구성 요소로, 평활근 세포 분화를 모니터링하는 데 유용한 표지 단백질입니다. 이 단백질은 완전히 분화된 수축형 SMC에서만 발현되며, myofibroblast, myoepithelial, skeletal, cardiac muscle 세포에서는 발현되지 않습니다.
Smoothelin은 actin stress fiber와 공위치를 이루며, desmin 및 vimentin과는 다른 섬유상 구조를 형성합니다. 두 가지 조직 특이적 isoform이 존재하며, 59 kDa는 내장 평활근, 100 kDa는 혈관 평활근에 특이적입니다. 인간 smoothelin 유전자는 염색체 22번에 위치한 단일 복제 유전자로부터 발현됩니다.
